Welcome

Welcome to the family! I like to call my clients family because once I meet you and your family I feel that it's my responsibility to make you feel as comfortable as you do hanging out with family members. When you feel comfortable I am able to capture true emotions and personalities.

I am completely silly. Most of the time I make a complete fool of myself. When I get into the zone of taking your family photos I will do what it takes to get the silly grins from your children and even the toughest members of your family. I always have tricks up my sleeve when it comes to getting kids to do what we want them to do. Noises, sounds, silly jokes, candy. Whatever it takes ;-)

I have a child with special needs. That's hard to say sometimes. But, he has taught me that patience is very important. I have learned to read children really well. If your child is having a hard time, that's ok. I can move on and come back to them when it's time. I have the patience of a saint.

How long is the session?

Typically a session lasts an hour. But, some sessions take longer and some take less time. If the light is amazing and time runs away from us because we are having an awesome time I am not going to stop shooting because my watch says so. After all, you are family. Making you happy makes me happy. The biggest compliment anyone can give me is to say that they had fun after our session. Referrals are the ultimate compliment as well ;-)

What's the best time to shoot?

With the proper lighting and techniques you can look good at any time of the day. But, the best time of the day to shoot is one hour before sunset. The sun is lower in the sky so the temperature is lower. The sky is absolutely stunning and my assistant and I make the most amazing sunset portraits. So blue skies or sunset skies really are the choice you have to make. Both are beautiful.
